Creating Partnerships for Community Change

Our Approach

Creating Real Change

We approach funding from a philosophy rooted in our values of Incarnational Spirituality, Innovation, Empowerment, Stewardship, and Collaboration.

As a result, we are seeking out partners who are working on innovative, collaborative solutions that empower the community to address social issues at a systemic level.

We deeply value the work of our grantees and view each one as a partner toward enacting community change. If you are interested in becoming a partner, take a look at our grant opportunities.

General Operating Grant

The primary grant cycle is IWF’s General Grant cycle, open to proposals up to $10,000. These funds are to be used for General Operating support. We will not be evaluating applications on a project basis, but rather an overall organization basis. Consideration will be given to the St. Louis region including St. Louis City, St. Louis County and East St. Louis.

Grant Partner Spotlight

We deeply value the work of our grantees and view each one as a partner toward enacting community change. If you are interested in becoming a partner, take a look at our grant opportunities.

A Vision for St. Louis

The Incarnate Word Foundation believes in a community where the poor and marginalized have the ability to attain quality of life. Through our grant making processes, IWF supports the work of organizations who also believe in this kind of community and are actively working to advance equity and well-being in St. Louis. As we work together to envision and bring forth this reality, we asked grant partners to talk to us about their vision for St. Louis and highlight ways they are working toward this vision.
