Bridget McDermott Flood

Executive Director

Bridget McDermott Flood has been the executive director of the Foundation since its inception. Her passion is bringing the Sisters' relational vision of the world to the Foundation's work in neighborhoods and community. Bridget graduated from St. Louis University with a Master of Arts in Urban Affairs. She is a life-long South St. Louisan and also a ceramic artist at Carondelet Pottery, her studio in South St. Louis, a beekeeper and an avid quilter.

Michael Fitzgerald

Michael Fitzgerald has been serving children and families in the St. Louis area for 40 years. He has worked primarily in mental health and child welfare. Michael holds his undergraduate degree in psychology from West Virginia University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Saint Louis University and a Master’s in Health Management from Webster University. Michael has both direct clinical and administrative experience.

Sister Helena Monahan, CCVI

Sister Helena Monahan has been an educator all of her life, beginning with service in the Congregation’s elementary schools and continuing at the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio. Sister most recently served as President of Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis. Sister’s current passion is collaborating with civic and educational leaders to develop projects which will empower people and improve the quality of life in the Greater St. Louis community.

Megan Armentrout

Megan Armentrout joined the Incarnate Word Foundation after graduating from Saint Louis University with her Masters in Social Work (MSW). For the past 5 years, she has devoted her time and energy toward social justice work with particular emphasis in homelessness/housing and efforts toward racial equity. Her areas of work at the foundation are projects focusing on Food Access, Human Trafficking, and the Dutchtown/Gravois Park place based efforts.

Marty Glosemeyer

Marty Glosemeyer attended Professional Business College, as well as St. Louis Community College at Forest Park for Business Management. She has over 20 years of management and administrative experience. Prior to coming to the foundation she has worked in a variety of settings including healthcare, customer relations and transportation. She was born and raised in St. Louis, is devoted to her family, and is an avid Cardinals fan.

Lisa Durham attended Hickey School of Business and has 15 years-plus of office experience. Lisa is a native St. Louisan and lives on The Hill with her husband and two sons. She enjoys travelling and is a St. Louis Blues fan.

Sister Annette Pezold, CCVI

Sister Annette Pezold has been in various Congregational ministries, such as: education, parish pastoral associate, social worker at Catholic Charities, hospitals and retirement Homes. Now retired she continues on the IWF Board and also volunteers there as well as at a nursing home and where ever else a need arises. Sister Annette enjoys staying active and being able to give her time to ministries.

Terry Edelmann

Terry Edelmann is a volunteer for the Incarnate Word Foundation. Her primary responsibilities are to write feature pieces on selected IWF grant awardees, and get media coverage for newsworthy events. In the spring of 2016 she wrote a detailed article highlighting the recipients of the Mother St. Pierre Funds. Terry also coordinates the “Stories of Our St. Louis Sisters” Essay Contest for the foundation. Prior to her volunteer work Terry worked for the Archdiocese of St. Louis and the Suburban Journals.
